SEASON.S GREETING 2013

Best wishes to everyone for a wonderful holiday season. How fortunate that we can all celebrate according to our own concious. I celebrate the sostice but also enjoy the Christian rituals. For older people the season represent traditions. We can remember the season as children with all the excitment. For some of us, the mythology of the season is for children! Regardless of belief, we can all share the love of children. Merry Christmas, Happy Chunnuka, Sunny Solstice, Happy New Year. Love, Peace, Goodwill. What a beautiful theme. Hard to imagine anyone would want to argue over how best to celebrat the holiday

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

Our honary grandson living in Montana is a senior on his football team. We made a trip to Missoula and Kalispel to watch him play. Very exciting. Also met his girl friend, a real beauty queen. We are reminded that we only have one senior high school year in life. We must make the most of it and enjoy all that it has to offer.

JULY 4 PARADE SANDPOINT 2013

Anita and I rose our 4 cycle tandem in the parade as part of the Bicycle Club.
We carried the club banner and rode at the speed of marchers as other club members circled us to provide an impressive animation. Pictures of us were on face book.

I completed a class in theatre arts at North Idaho College. For the last class, my group presented part of Beckett's play "END GAME".  I played the leading role of the character Ham.( An old man in a wheelchair rambeling on and not making any sense).  My wife Anita is my primary fan and attends all my performances.  she said I did a great job with the part.

PHOTO SLIDES

I started taking photo slides when I bought my first 35mm camera in 1964. I continued until my first digital camera in 2005. I collected 6400 slides. My wife and I took on a project of viewing all 6400 slides. It took about a month. It was like a religious meditation reliving our life. It made us appreciate all the wonderful adventure and all the great people who have played a role. We have a lot to be grateful for. We plan to repeat this ritual every year. We will start in January 2014!!

WEIRDOS OF SANDPOINT

Sunday Feb. 3, 2013, I gave a talk on groups who have been pursecuted for thinking outside the box. The talk was motivated by our local right wing radio commentator who accussed people who worship at the Gardenia Center as being weirdos.  Of course he was refering to me. Proud to be a WEIRDO!

THEATRE CLASS NIC

This semester, I am taking a class at North Idaho College on Theatre. I write plays and maybe the class will inspire me to get the plays staged. I need actors who can volunteer to play the parts. I am enjoying the class and like being part of the college scene.
